Book Talk: I've Been Reading...

And what was that I said about catching up on blog posts?   Mmm oh well the intent was there even if the action never happened.  Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and the brain behaves so I can do some more posting.

As for the reading... well it's been awhile since I talked about the books that are constantly going through my hands so here's a brief catch up on some of the things I've been reading.
Like I'm seriously not going to be reading chick lit.  Warm fuzzies all round and I just loved some of my latest reads.  Emily Henry's Book Lovers was so my jam in every way as was Reason and Romance.  I mean how can you not love a book about books and authors and bookstores and editors and... well you get the picture.

After all the feel goods it was time for some crime and 2 back to back reads from one of my favourite crime authors Angela Marsons.  16 books and counting and though these latest ones in the series aren't quite as great as her earlier ones I still enjoy them in the way you can enjoy a good detective novel and wondering who the killer is.
I'm still plowing my way through my audio book collection.  This time round with 2 more in the The Robots series and finally Torchwood.

I hadn't listen to these earlier Torchwood audios in awhile so it was good to listen to them again and discover they were still as good as I remembered.
The House of the Dead still made me cry buckets though at least this time it was at home instead of the office like it was last time.

After that it was into the newer Torchwood books, some of which I had listened to before and others I had missed out.  Going through them again this time filling in the gaps with the missing ones has really been great and bonus I've been tidying up my collection as I go.
And more crying and sobbing into tissues.  Broken is probably one of my all time favs.  So good, so heart breaking, so real.  I'm a sucker for a romance especially when there's angst involved and of course monsters.

Can you just pass me a tissue already.
