The Viewing Files: Banshee

For all my love of all things pink and cute I have also have a not so secret love for things just a little (okay make that a lot) dark. Hard-hitting brutal stories that are just a little bit twisted.  Stories about death and survival where good guys don't always win and sometimes even end up dead.

What can I say - my head is a scary place.

Banshee is one of those shows and I just love it.  There are men carrying guns and death by decapitation  - by a truck no less.  It also has kiwi actor Antony Starr in the lead as Lucas Hood and he is awesome.  Like totally.
And he's not the only one.  There's Job, a cross-dressing computer hacker who changes his hairstyles more times than he changes his wardrobe and bad ass women who are more than capable of holding their own in a world where violence lurks around every corner.  This is small town life like you've never seen it.

It's dark and disturbing and really really violent.  So it's not a show for everyone.  But it is a show that is totally me
